Cream, milk and chocolate swirl
A soft and fragrant dessert, perfect to bring to the table during the holidays: this swirl with milk and chocolate cream is a delicious treat that wins you over at the first bite.
Thanks to the kefir in the dough and the creamy filling, it remains soft and moist for days: ideal to enjoy for breakfast or as a snack, or even at the end of the meal. A scenic and irresistible alternative to the usual panettone or classic breakfast cake.

Instructions
- 1
Start with the dough: pour the sugar and flours into a bowl, crumble the yeast and mix, then add the kefir, eggs, oil, salt and vanilla and work until you obtain a homogeneous dough. Cover the bowl with cling film and let it rise for at least 1 hour or until it doubles in size in a warm place.
- 2
While the dough is rising, prepare the cream: combine the sugar, vanilla and cornstarch in a saucepan and mix, then add the milk, stirring well to prevent lumps from forming. Transfer to the heat and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened, then transfer to a shallow, wide container, cover with cling film and let cool completely.
- 3
Take the dough again, deflate it with your hands and spread it on the floured work surface until you obtain a rectangle. Spread the cream over the entire surface and distribute the chocolate chips evenly, then with a pizza cutter or a knife with a smooth blade, divide the rectangle in half lengthwise (so starting from the short side) into 5-6 strips.
- 4
Roll the first strip onto itself to obtain a swirl, then wrap the second strip around the first to obtain an even larger swirl and so on. Transfer your giant swirl to a mold lined with baking paper and let it rise again for at least 30 minutes in a warm place, then bake for 45-50 minutes in a preheated static oven at 180°C. Once cooked, let it cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar.
- 5
The cream, milk and chocolate swirl is ready, all you have to do is serve it.
